Recent developments of membranes and electrocatalysts for the hydrogen production by anion exchange membrane water electrolysers: A review

چکیده

Hydrogen production using anion exchange membrane water electrolysis (AEMWE) offers hope to the energy crisis faced by humanity. AEM can be coupled with intermittent and renewable sources as well use of low-cost electrocatalysts other stack components. In electrolysis, one biggest advantages is transition metal catalysts instead traditional noble electrocatalysts. AEMWE still in its infancy despite irregular research on membranes. order generate commercially viable hydrogen, technology must further developed, including efficiency, stability, feasibility, robustness, ion conductivity, cost reduction. An overview studies that have been conducted electrocatalysts, membranes, ionomers used here reported, aim may made more practical this review report, bridging technological gaps providing recommendations, leading scalable hydrogen.
